Auburn University BFA Performance/Musical Theatre Class of 2024
Bethany grew up a storyteller. An avid reader since childhood, her love of stories grew with age and transformed into a passion for the performance arts. First, through figuring skating and dance, and later through theatre. At six years old, Bethany did her first show: Move It: The Transportation Musical. She only had one line, but in less than a week memorized the entire script.

While at Auburn University she trained under Andrew Schwartz, Abdul-Khaliq Murtadha, Bruce Kuerten, John DiJulio, Daydrie Hague, Elizabeth Benson, Charlotte Lee, Jeri Dickey, Adrienne Wilson, James Mablin, and Brian Osborne. She has also had the opportunity to participate and perform in master classes with Patti Lupone, Jessica Vosk, and Lauren Patten. While at Auburn, she became deeply involved in the Theatre and Dance Department. She worked on the Marketing/Recruitment team, running the department's social media and connecting with prospective students, and served as the president of AU Players, the theatre organization on Auburn's campus. Some of her favorite credits from Auburn include Barbecue (Barbara), Pippin (Fastrada), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Demetrius), and Edges (Woman 3).

An important aspect of Bethany's collegiate career was her participation in Mosaic Theatre Company- a company dedicated to the devising and performance of original works surrounding conversations of social justice, equity, and diversity. In her Senior year she served as an Assistant Director of the company, leading rehearsals and often facilitating the devising of pieces. During her time with Mosaic, she developed her own citizen artistry and grew a profound understanding of the impact and vital nature of the performing arts in modern times. This is the type of work Bethany hopes to explore within her career.
